Inside Chemence: Jackson Couch

Inside Chemence Jackson Couch,

Inside Sales & Marketing Automation Specialist

At Chemence, innovation isn’t just about products it’s also about how we connect, communicate, and grow. This month on Inside Chemence, we sat down with Jackson Couch, Inside Sales & Marketing Automation Specialist, to talk about his journey, his role, and how data and technology are shaping the future of marketing and sales.

Jackson’s career started immediately after graduating in 2023, stepping into a role at a digital signage company where he was given full responsibility over marketing and a simple instruction: figure it out.

“I was handed a budget and told, ‘good luck,’” he said. “That’s where I really started to develop my skills.”

While the experience helped him build a strong foundation, particularly in platforms like HubSpot, he quickly realized he wanted more mentorship and growth. That led him to a top tier marketing agency, where he sharpened his technical expertise and learned how to apply marketing strategies across different industries.

But it was the opportunity for innovation and problem solving that ultimately brought him to Chemence. “Here, it’s not just about repeating the same tasks,” Jackson explained. “It’s about building solutions that haven’t been done before.”

A graduate of the University of Mississippi, Jackson initially started accounting before pivoting into Integrated Marketing Communications a decision that better aligned with his strengths in data, technology, and creativity. During his time there, he helped build student organizations and developed a strong interest in data analysis and systems thinking.

Today, his role sits at the intersection of marketing, sales, and technology and no two days look the same.

“My day is all about identifying what needs to be fixed or improved,” he said. “Then building systems that can solve those problems and ideally automate them so they don’t need to be touched again.”

From managing backend data in HubSpot to building large-scale automations and supporting campaign strategy, Jackson focuses on creating systems that improve efficiency and visibility across teams. His work directly supports the sales process by helping teams better understand their pipelines, identify gaps, and act on real-time insights.

One of the biggest misconceptions about his role?

“That marketing is just content creation,” he said. “In reality, it’s a lot of data, systems, and strategy happening behind the scenes.”

Collaboration plays a critical role in making those systems successful. Because his work impacts multiple departments from sales to marketing to leadership Jackson emphasizes the importance of building solutions that work for everyone.

“You’re not the end user,” he explained. “So, you have to build systems that actually make sense for the people using them.”

Outside of work, Jackson continues to explore his passion for technology building AI-based tools, experimenting with automation, and staying ahead of trends that are rapidly reshaping the industry.

He also has a clear message for anyone looking to enter the field:

“Start now. Learn AI. Build something of your own. The industry is changing fast, and the people who understand how to use these tools are going to stand out.”

Looking ahead, Jackson hopes to be known not just for his technical skills, but for his impact.

“I want to be someone who can step into an organization, understand the problems, and create solutions that truly make a difference,” he said. “But more importantly, I want to be someone people enjoy working with someone who understands others and adds value beyond just the job.”

From automation to analytics to human connection, Jackson Couch represents the next generation of innovation at Chemence where technology and creativity come together to drive real results.
