Exofin® Micro is a high‑performance 2‑octyl topical skin adhesive designed for precise wound closure and simplified post‑procedure care. Its high‑viscosity formulation allows controlled adhesive application, helping reduce adhesive migration and ensuring adhesive remains on the incision line. Once applied, Exofin® Micro forms a flexible, waterproof seal protecting your patient for up to 14 days so long as the adhesive film remains intact. Patients can shower immediately after discharge, creating a more comfortable recovery. As the skin heals and regenerates, the adhesive layer sloughs off naturally, eliminating the need for a follow up visit.

For clinicians, Exofin® Micro stands out for its rapid polymerization, with average set times of less than 40 seconds* helping to complete closure procedures rapidly. The pliable aluminum tube makes adhesive expression easy – less activation pressure required compared to competing devices. At the same time, Exofin® Micro’s clear applicator tip gives clinicians easy visibility during adhesive dispensing.  The extended 14-day microbial barrier protection helps guard the wound from clinically relevant pathogens, including MRSA, during the critical healing period. Clinicians should ensure the adhesive film extends at least 1cm beyond the incision edges. Applying a wider band of adhesive will also ensure a stronger closure strength.
